HoudiniFX
"Design is not just how it looks or feels, it is also how it works"
HoudiniFX is currently one of the most important programs within the VFX film and video game industry. After doing an intensive course about it and together with personal practice with the program, I work on tasks of all kinds, from procedural modeling, to simulations from the most basic to the most complex such as fluids, destructions, particles ... Always trying to obtain a visual result that the user / player finds attractive and immersive. Houdini is constantly evolving, and mastering it is not easy. But without a doubt, it is a program with which I do not mind working hours, hours ... and hours.
Below you will see 3 of my portfolios. One of them is dedicated to procedural modeling and simulations, the other to particles and physics and other to Houdini and Unreal Engine.

Procedural modeling
Being able to create objects and/or locations that can change dynamically using simple values. Being able to change the number of pipes in a location, their height, width, the blades of a fan ... Houdini makes this possible and much more, something that is also undoubtedly essential for today's video games, which are becoming increasingly popular.

VFX. Simulations
Without a doubt, one of Houdini's strengths. With the many powerful tools that it has, you can create practically the simulation you want. With all the possibilities that it has, you can create almost everything you want, from a movie blockbuster to a video game where resources are more limited. Still, the quality you get is unmatched. Houdini is unique in its sector.

VFX. Particles and physics
Thanks to all the Houdini tools, one of its greatest powers is the handling of particles. Allowing us to control absolutely all the desired attributes, we can create the effect we want. From a fire, to a particle effect that symbolizes, for example, a magic spell that a magician begins to invoke. Again, the only limit is the imagination.

Rendering. Lighting and composition
With a powerful rendering engine based on PBR (Physically Based Rendering) with functions that accelerate the process, it allows us to obtain final images and/or textures with an amazing quality that can be used in absolutely any medium, being it filmography or video games. Houdini is presented as an all-in-one program that will allow productions from start to finish. Houdini teaches you to understand absolutely everything about a 3D model. And it allows you to handle everything related as you prefer to obtain the desired result.

Terrains
Houdini has incredible tools to be able to model terrain that feels realistic and, above all, natural. With tools for erosion (specifying whether you want wind, rain, heat ...) and the passage of time, we can make the player feel real and above all alive, with a story behind. In addition, with its export to graphic engines such as Unreal Engine, it allows us to obtain terrain that with the engine's own tools, would not be possible.
