Are you ready to fight for Toledo? Do not hesitate and go to the museum, the only place where you can enjoy this experience.

Aspects that make it unique

"A simple game is not one without possibilities. It is one that makes it possible for everyone to play"

Interaction

The main objective is to offer an experience that can be enjoyed by all those who come to the museum. From the youngest to the oldest. Where they don't have to think about which button to press or what actions to take to move forward.

Therefore, research on gameplay and interaction is essential. Finally it was reduced to making movements that everyone recognizes in a simple way and that in turn produce satisfaction in the actions represented, producing an advance in the game.

An automatic tour of the streets of Toledo so that the user only has to worry about being able to admire the medieval recreation, which, also if they later visit the city, they will be able to recognize the buildings, streets and monuments.

In turn, the experience is limited to a not very high duration so as not to cause dizziness or discomfort in the players, thus granting a fluidity and stability in the constant game, also added to the fact that the players are on a platform from which they can hold on at all times if they have a problem.

Technology

The Virtual Reality experience uses the Unreal Engine graphic engine, which allows us to obtain advanced graphics to represent the beauty of a unique city such as Toledo.

Due to the challenge of representing a city of this style with as much detail as possible, an "in-situ" investigation was carried out, photographing and touring the sites to be visited in the video game to achieve the closest possible reality-based result.

Photogrammetry techniques were also used to obtain real textures for the floors and walls of the streets, bringing them even closer to reality.

Using a mobile format Virtual Reality glasses, "Lenovo Mirage Solo" had clear technical limitations on what to offer in the visual category of the video game. Even so, with our own optimization techniques and making the most of the hardware, we have obtained visual results well above what other games and / or experiences can offer in these glasses.

Using the Unreal Engine graphics engine, which after all the experience gained for the production of "1214", served to explore the possible limitations of the hardware to be used.

With a prior and extensive study of the hardware to be used, "Lenovo Mirage Solo" and its possibilities of interaction and representation together with immovable standards (high resolution and constant 60fps), an experience is developed in which the user only has one thing to do. does. Enjoy.

Developing one of our first experiences in a mobile device, allows us to squeeze the hardware to unsuspected levels to achieve certain results, making it a bit easier for subsequent projects to know the limitations and address them.

Sound

In Virtual Reality devices it is not only necessary to offer a show in the visual section, but the sound and music effects must be in line to offer an experience that players can consider of "another level".

For this reason, 3D audio techniques are used so that players can locate objects, characters or actions only with their ear, and can turn to their direction. These are also self-produced and in many cases, recorded in real life, offering an unmatched quality that brings the player even closer to medieval Toledo.

To this is added a self-produced soundtrack with touches of the time, but modern that further introduce the player to the adventure that awaits them. We must empower certain moments and actions, since Toledo needs our help. Along with softer music for quiet moments, we want players to enjoy music that they can even remember.
